The Sun Sets in the West
Yesterday as the sun rolled over the hill
I saw your face, Lord it sent cold chills
Rememberin' how you died for me
Up on that cold killin' tree
I cried knowin' I could never pay you back
So I lay my body down to rest
And the sun sets in the west
And there is a whirlwind in my head
It spins from the hope of the things you said
We cry out that the time has come
For the world to live as one
And in the darkness we gun each other down
We fight over who you created best
And the sun sets in the west
Lord I think that it's time for me
To rise above this mediocrity
To face the truth and wear my heart upon my sleeve
The oak tree shoots and eerie silhouette
As the sun sets in the west
